Coffee, that beverage that fascinates us and that we have been enjoying for centuries, has so many benefits that it is impossible to summarise them in a few lines.
Today we want to talk about the benefits of coffee in sports. Athletes of all levels include coffee in their diets, being an ideal complement for sports performance. From the very Olympic Marathon, to the popular race in your city, there is no sporting event where coffee is not present.
Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system. It is an immediate source of energy, has vasodilatory properties and promotes the use of fat as an energy source (instead of glucose). All this contributes to better performance in endurance efforts, as well as temporarily increasing concentration and reducing perception of fatigue.
But it's not all about performance. Can you think of a better excuse than sharing a good specialty coffee with your group for that (necessary) stop on the Sunday cycling route?
Of course, not all coffees are the same. Specialty coffee, carefully selected, lovingly roasted and without additives, has many more benefits for our organism.
In the Malakabra family, we love coffee, but we are also sports enthusiasts. Saw this at the first MalakabraTeam event, a couple of Saturdays ago.
